Sandra Füllsack becomes a plastics knight

motan is now also represented in the VDI strategy circle

The Association of German Engineers (VDI – Verein Deutscher Ingenieure) accepted Sandra Füllsack as the 46th member of the strategy circle for plastics engineering on17th May in Vaal, Netherlands, during this year’s Spring Symposium.

Along with being symbolically knighted, Sandra Füllsack was presented with a certificate of honor and a sword which now decorates her office in Konstanz. With this, the VDI strategy circle honors Sandra Füllsack’s achievements in the plastics industry.

In his speech, Dipl.-Ing. Torsten Ratzmann emphasized Füllsacks extraordinary commitment to developing new technologies in the plastics processing industries and how these can be networked with each other. True to the motto “Making an idea reality proves the true value of innovation,” Füllsack was key in creating the mia-awards and has been awarding them since 2016.

“Currently, plastics do not have a great image. However, we all know than in many cases, plastic is the only real answer for finding viable and economic solutions,” says the Managing Director of the motan group.

mo explains: " Injection molding produces sprues that can immediately be turned into regrind and reused. This makes sense because it saves money and protects the environment. If the initial material needs to be dried it can save even more money as regrind does not usually need to be dried if it is being reused immediately.
