From Turkey to the World

In 2024, ERNA MAŞ installed a motan material handling system – a combination of motan and swift units. Serkan Perçin (Plastic Injection Process Manager / ERNA MAŞ) provides an in-depth look at the project at the Şabanözü /Çankırı factory.

 

Which motan products do you use in your production process?

In the system installed in our facility, we use swift dryers, hopper loaders and volumetric dosing products.

What was the crucial factor for you in deciding on motan/swift products?

We were already familiar with the swift by motan products from other projects and from within the industry. We chose them because we knew they would be the most suitable for our system. Furthermore, motan provided us with the most accurate solution throughout the entire project, from the planning stage to its completion.

What benefits do the motan/swift units bring you?

This facility operates 78 injection moulding machines. All of these machines are connected to a central raw material feeding system. This central system means that there is no longer any need for separate dryers and raw material setups for each machine. Thanks to this system, we have eliminated clutter and chaos. By supplying our machines from a central location, we have successfully completed a project that ensures the correct raw material is delivered to the correct machine.

What was the outcome?

It enables us to feed 78 machines with 16 different types of raw material in a highly organised way. This has eliminated human errors for us and helped us to establish a highly successful system.

What specific improvements or advantages have you noticed, e.g. in terms of time savings and cost reduction?

Of course, we achieved savings in both time and cost. In addition, we have many years of experience with central raw material systems. Significant time and financial advantages were also gained by eliminating the need to empty and clean machine-mounted hopper loaders.

We recommend motan and swift units, which have already proven themselves in the industry. Through our work, we have experienced firsthand how right our decision was.
