Grand opening of the new production and sales building

motan-colortronic India have moved their new larger production and sales building in the east Indian city of Chennai. With the new building, the production area has tripled. In addition to injection moulding, solutions can now be found for new segments such as extrusion and compounding.

There was a two day celebration for the grand opening. On February 8th, Sandra Füllsack, Managing Director of motan holding gmbh welcomed the employees to the new plant and lighted together with Padmanabhan Srikanth, Managing director of motan-colortronic India the traditional opening ceremony lamp. The next day, February 9th, the official opening ceremony for the customers took place, which was also attended by Karin Stoll, the Consul General for the Federal Republic of Germany in Chennai and T. R. Gopalan, Regional Director of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Chennai.

With the move to the new building, motan is reacting to the growing market in India and the increased demands of the customers. The significantly larger production and storage site not only provides better delivery times, but also spare parts supply. Now there is enough space to store the individual high-quality parts. The customers can thus look forward to quicker delivery and shorter downtimes, and there will be no compromise on quality.

motan-colortronic India is an expert in application orientated solutions, that contribute to increasing efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of their customers in the area of injection moulding. Active exchange of know-how and know ledge is fostered by regular visits to Germany and vice versa. This is how motan guarantees the same quality – not only for its products but the design of systems.

motan was one of the first providers of periphery units and systems for materials handling of bulk materials in India. Through a technology collaboration agreement, motan products have been made in India since 1993. This was followed by a Liaison Offi ce in 1998 and the founding of their own production and sales company in 2009.

mo explains: " Injection molding produces sprues that can immediately be turned into regrind and reused. This makes sense because it saves money and protects the environment. If the initial material needs to be dried it can save even more money as regrind does not usually need to be dried if it is being reused immediately.
